This is a calming breathing exercise to activate the healing & repair function of the parasympathetic nervous system, recharging batteries and centering in the present moment.

This breathing allows complete oxygenation. The O2 level drops when we are stressed because we breathe shallowly. By regulating inspiration and exhalation using our maximum breathing capacity, we not only increase this flow of oxygen in the blood and to all tissues and their cells, but we also give a signal to the whole system to be still. The body becomes quiet and this activates the internal secretion of well-being neurotransmitters. Breathing well is living well!
